The story of Quinty
Quinty was confronted with FNS at a young age and ended up in a wheelchair. On TikTok, she decided right away: “I will show that as a young person you are NOT limited to the couch.” In her videos, you can see everyday life: going out with friends, stopping by the supermarket, attending an event in the evening.
We got in touch with her and clicked instantly. Quinty borrowed a balance wheelchair for three months to document her evenings. During that period, she discovered how nice it is to maneuver through a busy shopping aisle, to talk at eye level, and to get onto a sidewalk without a detour — and we saw how her energy inspires others to get moving.
What is FNS (Functional Neurological Disorder)?
FNS is a condition where the functioning of the nervous system temporarily “freezes,” without any lasting damage to nerves or muscles. It can manifest as loss of strength, difficulty moving, or fatigue. The symptoms are real and variable; rest, clear routines, and suitable aids often help to regain a daily rhythm. In Quinty’s case, a balance wheelchair offered the perfect combination of independence and clarity in busy environments.
Built together on the WMO process
Quinty actively contributed to the announcement of our WMO process — through which about 70% of our customers receive partial reimbursement for a balance wheelchair from the municipality. She presented all explanatory videos for our socials and website together with Koen, so you can see step by step how to substantiate your application correctly. From initial orientation to a clear dossier: guidance that adapts is part of our concept.

Quinty joined our content shoot — you can see her in many photos and short clips. She went with Linda to The Hague to show how accessible the city is with a balance wheelchair: cobblestones, curbs, trams — real city life, filmed as it is. She was also present at the VeineDagen and visited our booth to speak with visitors (and of course, test it out 😉). These moments precisely showcase what we are about: real experiences in relatable situations.
The connection
What began as a borrowing period grew into a warm collaboration — and naturally, friendship. Quinty inspires our community, and we support her with knowledge, trial rides, and service. Whether she is recording a video, trying something out in the Experience Center, or having a Q&A about WMO reimbursement for balance wheelchairs: we stand together. Balance Your Day.
