HogeNood app — quickly find an accessible toilet nearby

You are on the move: a quick errand, a walk along the boulevard, or a family trip to the park. And then… urgent need. With the HogeNood app, you can immediately see which toilets near you are open and whether they are wheelchair accessible. Handy for anyone using a wheelchair, electric wheelchair, or balance wheelchair.

Good to know: the toilets at 2KERR are listed in the app. You are welcome to use our restrooms during opening hours.

How does the HogeNood app work?

  • Search by location – The app shows the nearest toilets, including distance and directions.
  • Filter by accessibility – Choose locations with wheelchair access, sufficient turning space, and support points.
  • Check details – Opening hours, manager (public, hospitality, shop), and reviews from other visitors help you decide.
  • Report an update – Is something not correct? You can report it in the app so that others have up-to-date information.

Our restrooms are listed in the app — come on in

We keep our restrooms clean, spacious, and clearly marked in the app. Are you near the 2KERR Experience Center? Feel free to walk (or roll) in for a restroom break. And if you want to immediately test a nearby route with a balance wheelchair like Omeo, Hoss, ibot PMD, or ibot duo? We will arrange that. One place; practical assistance and a moment for yourself.

Other helpful apps
Not everyone uses the same app. These alternatives are frequently mentioned by our visitors:

  • Wheelmate – A global overview focused on wheelchair-accessible toilets and parking spots.
  • Accessaloo – Community-driven, with photos of entrance and layout.
  • Map apps – In Google Maps or Apple Maps, you can search for terms like “accessible toilet” and keep your own lists.

Tip: save your favorites (home, work, sports club) as fixed points. That way, you always have a plan B.

What matters in reality: practical checks
Whether you are using a balance wheelchair (e.g., Hoss, ibot duo, ibot PMD, Omeo) or a compact electric wheelchair: pay attention to these points in the app information and on site:

  • Access route – Is the entrance barrier-free and wide enough?
  • Turning space – Does your chair fit between the door and the toilet without tight corners?
  • Grab bars & height – Are there support points, and is the transfer height correct?
  • Clear floor – No garbage cans or baby tables blocking the passage.
  • Door & lock – Easy to operate, preferably with a horizontal grip.
