My experience with the Bi-Go

Hi, I’m Marlou, 31 years old and I live with my 2 dogs in a village next to Haarlem. I worked in a nursing home in care, and until 2021, I was an avid runner. In 2017, I ran my first marathon.

Before I purchased the balance wheelchair, I noticed that my activities were decreasing increasingly. I took the dogs out for shorter walks, spent less time outdoors since cycling was no longer an option, and my energy was consumed by small activities. Grocery shopping became more difficult as well. My world was getting smaller.

Since I have the Bi-Go, I have that freedom back. The dogs can run happily in the woods again, and I can now ride my familiar route through the dunes on a Segway. This is very important to me. I am no longer dependent on others, and I can enjoy nature.

A big advantage is that you don’t just sit still in the Bi-Go, which allows me to use it all day long. Plus, you can easily load it into the car, and you can do much more with it than with a standard aid. Think of off-road paths, going up and down curbs, and driving through gravel and sand.

For soft sand, they have special tires, allowing you to access beaches and other places with soft sand.
