New regulations
Starting July 1, 2025, a registration number will be mandatory for regular Segway PTs and other special mopeds such as e-scooters (the electric scooter you stand on). This does NOT apply to balance wheelchairs such as the Bi-go, Genny, or other balance wheelchairs, which remain under the rules for medical devices.
