At 2KERR, you can assemble a balance wheelchair that fits your routes and daily situations. We offer all leading models under one roof—including explanations of what does and does not fall under a Segway wheelchair. Below you’ll see the options, grouped by theme.
Steering & control
Choose the control method that suits your motor skills: a joystick (left/right, sensitivity adjustable, riding profiles), lean/handlebar control on models with Segway balance technology, or additional buttons for slow maneuvering in a lift or store aisle. We can fine-tune the response time, acceleration, braking, and turning behavior, so you can turn confidently, take off smoothly, and stop safely. For those with varying muscle tension, we create profiles for indoor/outdoor usage— from precise indoor handling to swift navigation on the bike path (where allowed).
Sitting comfort & ergonomics
Comfort begins with customization in seat width and depth, with a choice of seat cushions (pressure-relieving, gel, air, or memory foam) and backrests with extra support. Armrests, hip belts, and folding footrests can be adapted to suit your transfers. Looking for a lightweight feeling in your wheelchair? We combine lightweight components with smart accessories, without sacrificing stability.
Drive, suspension & range
Powerful electric motors and adjustable driving modes make a difference in the city and beyond. Where available, we opt for electric wheelchairs with suspension or tires with extra cushioning for cobblestones and curbs. We discuss realistic daily distances, ease of charging, and what that means for electric wheelchair pricing and maintenance. Are you undecided between buying or leasing an electric wheelchair? We will calculate scenarios, including balance wheelchair WMO possibilities.
Transport, folding & travel
Want to easily take the chair with you? Balance wheelchairs are not fully foldable, but you can fold or remove parts like the steering wheel, backrest, and footrests, making it simple to transport them in the car. This also allows you to use it on public transport. Flying is usually also possible; we arrange battery documents and tips for airline check-in. In our Experience Center, we demonstrate how to practically take balance wheelchairs with removable or foldable parts and smart transport solutions for the car.
