Is a sit-segway the same as a balancing wheelchair?

What is a sit-Segway wheelchair?
The Segway wheelchair — also known as a Seated Segway — uses the same sensor technology as a regular Segway, but with a comfortable seat. Unlike a classic wheelchair or scooter, a balancing wheelchair always rides on two wheels. This allows for smooth cornering in narrow hallways and a relaxed ride over cobblestones or a park path. Important to know: you do not have to balance yourself; the electronics manage that.

Who is this for?
For people who cannot or can only walk briefly and still want to join in smoothly — to work, the market, the beach. An electric wheelchair with balancing function feels less “medical” and looks modern. In our Experience Center, you will immediately notice the difference: lifts, thresholds, tight doorways — it goes surprisingly easy. Those who want to explore broadly at first can find context on the site: difference between balancing wheelchair vs scooter, buying an electric wheelchair or renting a wheelchair; what fits your routes?

Smart in your daily rhythm

Experience it yourself: test ride at 2KERR
A balancing wheelchair truly makes you feel in the saddle. That’s why we invite you for a test ride in Hedel. Under supervision, you can try different surfaces and steering concepts; you can compare models like Freee F2, Bi-Go, Genny, Omeo, and Hoss. Together we will look at what matches your daily scenes (lift, threshold, forest, boulevard) and with transport: does it fit in your car, how does loading and securing work, which foldable electric wheelchair or collapsible electric wheelchair is practical for you?

Models under one roof
On the revamped page, we show the well-known seated segments and alternatives side by side. Think of Genny (design, including Genny Zero and Genny Urban), Freee F2 (German reliability and options), and Bi-Go (sustainable, often also second-hand Segway wheelchair). Want to broaden your orientation? Then you can directly compare with other balancing solutions like the Omeo wheelchair, Hoss wheelchair, Scewo BRO, and iBOT variants (iBOT duo, iBOT PMD). This way, you can quickly see what fits best for forest/uneven terrain (off-road wheelchair), city, and transport in a car or camper.

Price, WMO, and second-hand
Transparency helps in choosing. On the site, we explain which factors determine the price of the balancing wheelchair and Segway wheelchair (year of manufacture, battery, accessories, service). We show where relevant our Eco-Occasions — professionally checked and often available immediately — for those looking for a second-hand electric wheelchair or a cheap wheelchair without compromising on safety. Are you arranging it through the municipality? Then you will find clear steps regarding the balancing wheelchair WMO (application, justification, delivery). Are you unsure between new or refurbished, buying a wheelchair or temporarily renting an electric wheelchair? We calmly lay out the options side by side, including service and turnaround time.
