Since then, I never walk without pain, I am often tired and have had to adjust my life. I had a mobility scooter, and yes, it took me where I wanted to go. But it didn't feel really pleasant to be in it….
Then my father came across a balancing wheelchair and showed it to me: the tears literally rolled down my cheeks…
I saw that you could go through the woods with it, on the beach, and even through the meadow! I saw freedom!!! We have a dog, and I saw possibilities that weren’t available to me before!
That same week we went to 2KERR and as soon as I sat in the Bi-Go balancing wheelchair, it felt like an extension of myself. I literally said, “These are my legs!”
Fortunately, I can say that I live in a municipality (Molenlanden) where the WMO advisor was very positive about the balancing wheelchair, and I received a reimbursement through a PGB.
A quick trip to the city, exploring the forest with the dog, on vacation, I really do everything with it! Wherever I am, my Bi-Go is there…
